ORDER: A settlement conference is set for November 17, 2026 at 9:00 am in MEL's Chambers before US Magistrate Judge Marcos E. Lopez. The dates proposed by the parties (ECF No. 162 at 2) are not viable due to the fact that they conflict with a jury trial over which the undersigned is presiding. Principals with final-decision authority shall attend the conference. Two weeks prior to the settlement conference, the parties shall deliver to the undersigned's chambers an ex-parte Settlement Statement not to exceed ten (10) double-spaced pages (not including exhibits), outlining the key facts and legal issues in the case. The statement will also include each party's position regarding settlement, as well as pragmatic, potential settlement scenarios that could facilitate the resolution of this case without further litigation. The Settlement Statements are not briefs and are not to be filed in CM/ECF with the court. Only the undersigned shall have access to the statements. In addition, to the statements, the parties shall also deliver to the undersigned's chambers any expert reports that have been produced in discovery. Signed by US Magistrate Judge Marcos E.
