Minute Entry for Status Conference proceedings held on 6/23/2026 before Magistrate Judge James R. Cho. Appearances by Sangbo Nam for plaintiff. Counsel for defendant failed to appear.
Defendant shall answer, move or otherwise respond to the complaint by 7/23/2026. Any party wishing to file a dispositive motion should consult District Judge Orelia E. Merchant's Individual Rules. The Court encourages the parties to discuss settlement. In-person status conference is scheduled for 8/4/2026 at 10:00 a.m. in Courtroom 11-D South before Magistrate Judge James R. Cho. Adjournment requests will not be considered unless made in accordance with this Court's Individual Rules.
By 6/26/2026, counsel for plaintiff shall serve a copy of this order by email and U.S mail on defendant's counsel and file proof of service on ECF.
In the event defendant continues to fail to comply with Court orders, the Court anticipates granting plaintiff leave to renew its motion for default judgment. (FTR 12:14-12:19.) (AM)
