P.I.: Other | South Carolina
Order on Motion to Continue
TEXT ORDER granting 389 motion for leave to continue. Given the nature of the conflicts, the Court does not believe that it can deny the request; however, moving counsel are cautioned that they should file notices of requests for protection as soon as they know they have conflicts. It would appear that moving counsel had ample advanced notice of these conflicts and chose to bring them to the Court's attention almost a week after it scheduled a hearing in this action. Moving counsel indicate that they are all available on June 10, 2024; the Court is not. All counsel are directed to confer and provide all dates that they are available in June by 5:00pm on Monday, May 20, 2024. The parties should note that the Court does not anticipate this hearing lasting more than 2 hours and that not all counsel for each party is required to attend. Further, the Court will allow any non-local counsel to appear remotely by video conference if requested. Upon receipt of available dates, the Court will reschedule this hearing.
Signed by Honorable Donald C Coggins, Jr on 5/16/24.Associated Cases: 7:20-cv-00947-DCC, 7:21-cv-03193-DCC(alew)
