Show Cause
Order to Show Cause: Accordingly, the court orders Wilson to show cause (provide legally supported reasons), no later than August 14, 2026, why her complaint should not be dismissed. Alternatively, by August 14, 2026, Wilson may obtain licensed counsel. If Wilson does not show cause or have counsel enter an appearance by August 14, 2026, the court will recommend dismissal of the action without prejudice. See Stoner, 502 F.3d at 1128 (remanding to the district court "with instruction to give Stoner reasonable time to find counsel.... If Stoner fails to retain counsel..., the district court should dismiss this action, without prejudice to the government."); Georgakis v. Ill. State Univ., 722 F.3d 1075, 1078 (7th Cir. 2013) ("Dismissals for lack of proper representation [in qui tam actions] are... normally without prejudice, to give the plaintiff a chance to find a lawyer to handle the case.").
