Newrez, 2026 WL 447746 (E.D. Cal. Feb. 17, 2026) ( "Because the facts and claims asserted in the complaint make clear that the claims belong to the Estate, and because plaintiff cannot represent the Estate in pro se, this case cannot proceed in federal court."); and (2) whether plaintiff H.C. can only proceed or dismiss the case after the appointment of a guardian ad litem ("GAL"), and after appearance of counsel for such GAL, see Johns v. Cty. of San Diego, 114 F.3d 874, 877 (9th Cir. 1997) ("[W]e hold that a parent or guardian cannot bring an action on behalf of a minor child without retaining a lawyer."). (Deputy Clerk SH)
