Order on Motion for Extension of Time to File Response/Reply
TEXT ORDER: DENYING Plaintiffs' 55 Motion for Extension of Time to File Response to Defendant Illinois Department of Children and Family Service's Motion to Dismiss. Plaintiffs filed a timely Response to Defendant's 51 Motion to Dismiss on July 6, 2026. D. 54 . Plaintiffs are not entitled to file multiple responses. See C.D. Ill. L.R. 7.1(B)(2). Further, the Court does not find that Plaintiffs' Motion for Extension shows that good cause exists to extend the deadlines, as Plaintiff had adequate time to prepare both a response and a motion for extension. In fact, the Response addresses the very arguments Plaintiffs claim require additional time to research. See D. 54 ; D. 55 . Accordingly, Plaintiffs' 55 Motion for Extension of Time to File Response is DENIED. Entered by Judge Michael M. Mihm on 07/08/2026. (KLC)
