ORDER: The Court has reviewed Defendants' Motion for an Extension of Time to File and Answer the Complaint. (ECF No. 16 .) The parties shall submit a motion for settlement approval under Cheeks v. Freeport Pancake House, Inc., 796 F.3d 199 (2d Cir. 2015), by August 31, 2026. The motion for settlement approval is respectfully referred to Magistrate Judge Dunst for a written report and recommendation. The parties are encouraged to consider whether they consent to the jurisdiction of Judge Dunst for all purposes, including for review of the settlement agreement and to conduct any hearing pursuant to Cheeks, 796 F.3d at 199. Therefore, separate from their motion for settlement approval, by August 31, 2026, the parties shall also notify the Court whether they consent to the jurisdiction of the assigned magistrate judge by filing either: (1) the form at ECF No. 4 if they consent to Judge Dunst's jurisdiction, or (2) a letter confirming that the parties did not unanimously consent to Judge Dunst's jurisdiction.
