Order to Extend Time for Discovery ~Util - Set Submission Deadline
DOCKET ORDER: This case is before the Court on the parties' "Stipulation and [Proposed] Order to Extend Fact Discovery Deadline." (Doc. 51 .) The Court construes this document as a motion for an extension of the discovery period and other case deadlines. So construed, the motion is GRANTED IN PART and DENIED IN PART. This is the parties' third request to extend discovery. Although the parties explain that Plaintiff's current health circumstances have delayed his deposition, the parties have not explained why the deposition could not have occurred in the preceding 17 months of discovery. The length of the requested extension would result in a discovery period just shy of 2 years, which the Court finds excessive. Thus, the deadline to complete fact discovery is extended, but only to December 1, 2026. The deadline to file Daubert motions and dispositive motions is 30 days after the close of discovery. Any further requests for extension of case-related deadlines will require a conference with the Court. Entered by Judge Sarah E. Geraghty on 8/21/2026. (sap)
