Minute
MINUTE entry before the Honorable Jeffrey T. Gilbert: The Court reviewed the parties' Joint Status Report 17 . Plaintiff served her Rule 26(a)(1) disclosures 4/16/24. Defendants will serve their Rule 26(a)(1) disclosures by 4/26/24. Written discovery shall be served no later than 5/10/24. Fact discovery shall be completed by 11/1/24. (The Court recognizes that date is later than Plaintiff proposed and earlier than Defendant proposed.) The parties shall file a joint status report by 7/1/24 that includes the following information: (1) the status of written discovery including production of documents; (2) the identity of all fact witnesses either side then intends to depose before the close of fact discovery based on then available information; and (3) confirmed or proposed dates for depositions the parties have calendared. In addition, the parties should include in their next status report dates for Rule 26(a)(2) disclosures and any expert depositions. In the parties' last status report 17 , Plaintiff said she would make her expert disclosures by 10/17/24 but that was coupled with her proposal that fact discovery should close by 9/13/24 which the Court did not adopt because it seemed unrealistic given that written discovery responses are not due until on or about 6/10/24. The Court assumes on the present schedule, Plaintiff will make her expert disclosures by 12/1/24. But if that assumption is incorrect, then the parties can correct it in their next status report.
