TEXT ORDER entered by Judge Colleen R. Lawless on 9/10/2026: On October 29, 2024, cases 24-cv-3238 and 24-cv-3025 were consolidated. Prior to consolidation, on October 21, 2024, Transitions of Western Illinois, Inc., Lacey Eaton, Eric Kaminsky, and Jane and John Doe ("TWI Defendants") filed an Answer to the Amended Complaint in 24-cv-3025. (Doc. 16 ). After consolidation, in case 24-cv-3025, on March 4, 2025, TWI Defendants filed an Answer to the Second Amended Complaint. (Doc. 25 ). In case 24-cv-3238, TWI Defendants filed an Answer to the Complaint on November 15, 2024. (Doc. 13 ). On May 15, 2025, after leave was granted, TWI Defendants filed an Amended Answer in case 24-cv-3238. (Doc. 23 ). Many months later, on September 3, 2026, in both cases, TWI Defendants filed a Motion for Leave to file Amended Answer (Doc. 69 ), in which they reference Exhibit A as the proposed Amended Answer but no Exhibit A was filed with the Motion. Thereafter, TWI Defendants filed an Amended Answer in a separate document, (Doc. 71 ), that was docketed as the proposed Amended Answer. On September 4, 2026, in 24-cv-3025, the Court entered final judgment. Because the cases are consolidated, final judgment also should have been entered in 24-cv-3238. Therefore, the Motion for Leave to File Amended Answer (Doc. 69 ) is DENIED as moot. On September 4, 2026, the parties contacted the Clerk's Office concerning the entry of judgment (Doc. 74 ). The parties are directed to file proposed amended judgments within three (3) days of this Order. (RES)
