TEXT ORDER: The Court has reviewed the parties' August 19th letter [D.E. 50]. The parties are directed to resume their negotiations in an effort to finalize the settlement. Given the absence of any joint-employer relationship between the Yi Jia Happy Corporation Defendants and Cosco, Plaintiff may wish to consider withdrawing the demand for joint and several liability. Additionally, it appears that Cosco is asking only for a standard release -- ie., any claims that were or could have been raised in this Complaint. If the parties cannot reach a resolution of this litigation, the Court will consider referring them to a mediator pursuant to Local Civil Rule 301.1. By September 3, 2026, the parties will submit an updated joint status report. So Ordered by Magistrate Judge Michael A. Hammer on 8/20/2026. (Hammer, Michael)
