Order on Motion for Extension of Time to Answer
ORDER granting 6 Motion for Extension of Time to Answer. Defendant New York City Department of Education shall answer, move or otherwise respond to the complaint by 10/21/2026. If defendant anticipates filing a dispositive motion in response to the complaint, by 10/21/2026, defendant must file a letter no longer than one page expressing its intent to file such a Motion.
This case has been assigned to Magistrate Judge Cho pursuant to the Direct Assignment Program. See Administrative Order 2025-14. By 10/21/2026, the parties shall either consent to the Magistrate Judge to conduct all proceedings in this action by filing the Consent to Magistrate Judge Jurisdiction form or file the Direct Assignment Program Acknowledgement form confirming that they have conferred with each other and their respective client(s) regarding the option to consent to Magistrate Judge jurisdiction over this case.
