Minute
MINUTE entry before the Honorable Young B. Kim: On May 1, 2024, Plaintiff filed four documents (R. 45; R. 46; R. 47; R. 48) titled, "EX PARTE APPLICATION AND ORDER TO EXTEND ADDITIONAL TIME FOR PLAINTIFF TO RESPOND TO DEFENDANT'S DISCOVERY AND CONTINUE DISCOVERY REPORT DEADLINES." There are several problems with these filings. First, they are identical. Second, they are filed under seal but there is no good cause for this extension motion to be filed under seal. When a submission is filed under seal, only the authorized individuals have access to the documents and even the parties are unable to view them. Third, a "notice of motion must be filed as a separate docket entry showing the presentment date and time, unless the motion is joint, agreed, or unopposed." (See https://www.ilnd.uscourts.gov/judge-info.aspx?SUYYUADI1Y4=.) There is no reference in the motion that Defendant does not oppose or that it agrees to this motion. Plaintiff must correct these errors when refiling its motion one time as a public filing. If Plaintiff has difficulties doing so, it may contact the Help Desk at (312) 582-8727. The clerk's office is directed to remove Document Nos. 45, 46, 47, and 48 forthwith. Emailed notice (yt) (Entered: 05/02/2024)
