Extension of Time to File Answer / Respond to Complaint
Unopposed MOTION for Extension of Time to File Answer by All Defendants. (MacCollom, Kenneth)
Order
ENDORSED ORDER: On July 15, 2026, Plaintiff filed a "Notice of Scheduling Zoom Mediation." (Doc. # 13). The notice indicates that the parties have agreed to mediate remotely before Mr. Stephen R. Senn, Esq. on September 23, 2026. The Court notes that a case management and scheduling order has not yet been entered in this action. As part of the CMSO, it is this Court's practice to require an in-person mediation conference. Generally, the Court does not allow mediation by telephone or video conference, and personal attendance is required. The Court imposes this requirement because it firmly believes that in-person mediations are more productive than video mediations. In-person mediations are appropriate absent truly exigent circumstances, such as serious health concerns of the parties. Accordingly, the parties may mediate remotely via Zoom at this juncture. However, the Court advises the parties that if they do not settle at this early mediation, they will be required to schedule a separate in-person mediation conference by a deadline to be set forth in the CMSO. Signed by Judge Virginia M. Hernandez Covington on 7/16/2026. (ATI)
