Status Conference
Minute Entry for discovery conference held on 9/9/2026 before Magistrate Judge James R. Cho. Appearances by Ryan J. Kim for plaintiff; Benjamin Rosenwein and Evan J. Spelfogel for defendants. The Court addressed the discovery isues raised in the parties' joint letter (Dkt. 24) and made findings on the record.
By 9/30/2026, defendants shall categorize the documents contained in their 3000-plus document production.
By 9/30/2026, plaintiff shall provide defendants with a list of individuals with whom he exchanged text messages while employed by defendants. Defendants shall thereafter advise plaintiff whether they are able to retrieve responsive text messages.
By 9/30/2026, defendants shall advise plaintiff if there are responsive text messages related to plaintiff's re-hire request on or around June 2025.
By 9/30/2026, defendants shall complete their supplemental document production in connection with documents currently being reviewed.
By 9/16/2026, plaintiff shall provide defendants with his damages calculation. By 9/23/2026, parties shall file a joint status report advising the Court whether they would like to participate in a settlement conference.
By 9/16/2026, parties shall meet and confer further regarding defendants' request for plaintiff to identify the wages reflected in his tax returns. If parties are unable to resolve this issue, parties shall file a joint discovery letter by 9/23/2026.
The Court extends the discovery deadline until 9/30/2026. Thereafter, the Court anticipates setting a new deadline for completing any additional document discovery and depositions. (Cisco Recording.) (JAS)
