PAPERLESS ORDER striking 14 Notice of Settlement as to Defendant TransUnion. First, the Notice is not jointly signed. See S.D. Fla. L.R. 16.4 (stating that a notice of settlement "shall be filed and served jointly by counsel for all parties to the settlement"). Second, the Notice requests that the Court retain jurisdiction over the settlement 14 . The parties are advised that the Court generally does not retain jurisdiction over private settlement agreements, regarding them as a matter of private contract between the parties. See Anago Franchising, Inc. v. Shaz, LLC, 677 F.3d 1272, 1281 (11th Cir. 2012). For both reasons, on or before September 23, 2026, the parties shall file a renewed joint notice of settlement, See S.D. Fla. L.R. 16.4, attaching the settlement agreement and explaining in detail why the Court should retain jurisdiction in this particular case. Alternatively, the parties may file a joint notice of settlement by the same deadline that does not seek the retention of jurisdiction. Signed by Judge Aileen M. Cannon on 9/15/2026.
