However, Florida Statutes § 48.111 provides that a plaintiff must first attempt to serve "the registered agent" of a municipality--and only if the municipality "does not have a registered agent, or if the registered agent cannot otherwise be served after one good faith attempt" may the claimant serve another statutorily provided individual. See Fla. Stat. § 48.111(1)(b) (emphasis added). Accordingly, on or before September 30, 2026, Plaintiff shall file a supplement on service, with supporting information as necessary, detailing how the executed summons reflects proper service on Defendant.
