Minute
MINUTE entry before the Honorable Margaret J. Schneider: The Court has reviewed Plaintiff's Motion to Compel Responses and Documents from Defendant R.C. Bremer Marketing Associates Inc. and to Extend the Fact Discovery End Date 257 . The motion 257 is denied without prejudice. As to Plaintiff's request to compel Defendant to respond to discovery, the motion fails to sufficiently set forth any meet and confer conference as to the alleged discovery deficiencies in compliance with Local Rule 37.2. Also, Plaintiff seeks an extension of the fact discovery deadline to receive the discovery responses that are the subject of the motion to compel as well as to complete additional discovery. The motion fails to set forth opposing parties' positions on the requested relief, as required by the Court's Standing Order on Motions for Extension of Time. As this litigation is now entering its third year, the Court is confident that counsel is familiar with the Court's Standing Orders as well as the Local Rules and expects that filed motions comply with the Orders and Rules to allow the Court's and the parties' time to be used efficiently. The Court acknowledges that it appears that the parties likely need more time to complete discovery and will take up any further motion on the issue that complies with the Court's Standing Order. Mailed notice (jp, ) (Entered: 05/21/2024)
