Scheduling Conference Order on Discovery Plan and Scheduling Order
MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS - Video Case Management Conference held on 8/4/2026 before Magistrate Judge Craig S. Denney. Crtrm Administrator: AB; Pla Counsel: Julia Cline & Esther Rodriguez; Def Counsel: Hillary Ross & Elizabeth Anne Hanson; Court Reporter: Liberty Court Recorder; Time of Hearing: 10:00 a.m.; Recording start and end times: 9:55:37 a.m. - 10:22:07 a.m.; Courtroom: 2.
The Court addresses counsel on the purpose of today's hearing and has reviewed the Joint Case Management Report (ECF No. 51 ) and Proposed Discovery Plan and Scheduling Order (ECF No. 52 ). The Court notes the parties' disagreements with respect to the items listed in paragraph four in the Proposed Discovery Plan and Scheduling Order. Ms. Cline argues that it is not appropriate to limit discovery at this time. Ms. Ross argues that discovery should be phased by pre-certification and post-certification. The Court and counsel discuss sampling the records. The Court directs counsel to meet and confer on the process of sampling and submit an amended Discovery Plan and Scheduling Order. The Court will grant the parties' request for 240 days to complete discovery. The Court reminds the parties to adhere to the Civil Standing Order (ECF No. 26 ) regarding any discovery disputes.
IT IS ORDERED that the Proposed Discovery Plan and Scheduling Order (ECF No. 52 ) is denied without prejudice.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that an amended Discovery Plan and Scheduling Order shall be filed no later than Monday, August 24, 2026.
