   The court denies Plaintiff's 64 motion to stay discovery pending resolution of the receiver's bankruptcy motion. The motion asks the court to stay discovery because discovery disputes "will likely require resolution by the Court" and "[t]he Parties' and the Court's time would be better served by resolving the Bankruptcy Motion, as effectuating a sale of Jupiter Systems in bankruptcy may impact the issues before this Court." ECF No. 64 at 1. However, the court concludes that consideration of whether authorization to commence a bankruptcy proceeding would effectuate the court's preliminary injunction—whose purpose is to maintain the status quo to the extent possible, while avoiding irreparable harm, pending litigation—is not a sound basis for staying litigation. It may well be that authorizing bankruptcy proceedings would impact the issues in this case, but, as Defendants acknowledge, the parties can discuss the impact in that event. See ECF No. 66 at 3.
