Order on Motion to Amend/Correct
ORDER: The Court has determined that oral argument is not necessary to resolve Plaintiff's motion to amend case schedule and the Court DENIES Plaintiff's motion (ECF No. 28 ). Plaintiff has not demonstrated good cause to extend all case management deadlines by 90 days or effective use of prior time where she waited until July 28, 2026 to move to amend the case schedule despite being aware of the alleged need for additional deposition testimony on June 18, 2026. See LR 16-3(a). When Plaintiff filed her motion to amend the case schedule, the pleadings amendment (June 15, 2026), fact discovery (July 6, 2026), and expert disclosure (July 6, 2026) deadlines had already expired and the dispositive motion deadline (September 1, 2026) is now just 11 days away. Further, notifying Defendant on July 6, 2026, of Plaintiff's interest in conducting additional depositions was too late. See LR 16-2(e)(4) ("The Court will not require a response to a discovery request that is made with insufficient time for a party to respond before the completion of discovery date."). For these reasons, the Court denies Plaintiff's motion and CANCELS Oral Argument previously set for Friday, August 21, 2026, at 1:30 PM by telephone. Ordered by Magistrate Judge Stacie F. Beckerman.
