Minute
MINUTE entry before the Honorable Keri L. Holleb Hotaling: Ex parte calls with counsel for Plaintiff and counsel for Defendants held on 5/3/2024. The in-person settlement conference scheduled for 5/9/2024 at 1:00 p.m. remains set, but it will now be a hybrid settlement conference to the extent set forth below. Although all other parties and participants in the settlement conference shall appear in person unless otherwise approved by the Court, one party, Defendant Dora Kuzelka (with an attorney or other legal representative), instead may appear via video (WebEx). Additional information and instructions about the virtual (WebEx) portion of the settlement conference will be forthcoming in the days before the conference. The remote participant will be required to turn on video for the conference. In-person defense counsel must bring a laptop preloaded with WebEx and have the ability to connect to the internet through counsel's own means (a personal hotspot or the like) so that counsel can connect to Dora Kuzelka. The use of a cellular telephone is not an acceptable form of communication during the settlement conference. Plaintiff and Plaintiff's counsel shall appear at 219 South Dearborn Street, Chicago, IL 60604, and ring the buzzer for Judge Holleb Hotaling's Chambers, Room 1756; in-person Defendants and defense counsel shall report to Courtroom 1700 and shall immediately begin the process of connecting with Defendant Dora Kuzelka via WebEx to ensure that any troubleshooting can be done in advance and the conference, including video components, can begin at the scheduled time.
