MINUTE entry before the Honorable Jorge L. Alonso: The Court has reviewed the parties' joint status report 3031 , as well their previous status reports 3011 3013 and the Moroccan decisions contained therein. It appears that the Moroccan litigation has not reached a final resolution. Until it does, this Court is unwilling to run the risk of inconsistent judgments by proceeding with these cases. The Court acknowledges that Plaintiff Chafi argues that there are reasons why she should be allowed to proceed with her case regardless of the Moroccan litigation, but the Court remains unconvinced; while there are ongoing proceedings concerning who the true spouse of the decedent was, prudence dictates that these cases remain in abeyance. The parties shall file a joint status report within two weeks of the Moroccan Court of Cassation's ruling. Notice mailed by Judge's staff (lf, ) (Entered: 09/30/2026)
