Order on Motion for Extension of Time to File
ENDORSED ORDER denying Defendant Austin Capital Bank's motion for extension of time to comply with scheduling order deadlines. (Doc. # 38). The only reason Defendant gives for its request is its anticipated filing of a motion to dismiss and its desire to avoid discovery obligations pending the Court's ruling on the motion to dismiss. But it is not this Court's practice to grant open-ended extensions of deadlines based on when the Court will rule on pending motions, as such extensions unreasonably delay the case. Thus, there is not good cause here to extend these deadlines. The motion is accordingly denied. Signed by Judge Virginia M. Hernandez Covington on 7/23/2026. (DMD)
