      The Patent Trial and Appeal Board has knocked out most of the claims in two spinal cord therapy patents owned by a Boston Scientific rival in a ruling that attracted a rare dissent from one of the board's judges, who wrote that he felt that it was "impossible to apply the art" the way Boston Scientific's lawyers had laid it out.
