3 Avoid Jail For 'Crash For Cash' Insurance Fraud

Law360, London (November 23, 2018, 1:29 PM GMT) -- Three men have been handed suspended prison sentences and community service for their role in deliberately causing a car crash and fraudulently claiming for injuries and damage to a vehicle, the City of London Police said on Friday.

Zahir Ali was sentenced at Manchester Crown Court to a 12 month sentence, suspended for two years, for conspiring to deliberately causing a crash to make insurance claims, the police force said. He was also handed 100 hours of community service.
