Euronext Tables $717M Formal Offer To Buy Oslo Exchange

Law360, London (January 14, 2019, 11:53 AM GMT) -- Stock market operator Euronext NV confirmed Monday it has tabled a €625 million ($717 million) cash offer for Oslo Bors VPS, hours after the Norwegian exchange said it had found alternative bidders.

Paris-based Euronext has offered to buy Oslo Bors for 145 Norwegian krone ($17) a share. The offer, which is set to expire on Feb. 11, has been met with resistance from Oslo, which has courted other parties as it seeks more generous bids.
