Belgian Watchdog Declares War On Financial Cybercrime

Law360, London (October 3, 2019, 1:32 PM BST) -- Belgian regulators have issued a strong warning to financial services companies, telling them to take more decisive action to protect themselves and their customers against cybercrime.

The Financial Services and Markets Authority, Belgium’s finance regulator, and the Centre for Cyber Security, the country’s dedicated cyber-watchdog, issued a joint notice to businesses in the sector on Wednesday, reminding them they are legally required to have robust security policies.
