Wirecard Shareholders Call For Review Of Fraud Claims

Law360, London (January 14, 2020, 12:06 PM GMT) -- A group of shareholders in German payment company Wirecard is attempting to push for an independent review into allegations of fraud and false accounting amid concerns that details could be withheld from some investors.

Berlin law firm Schirp & Partner Rechtsanwälte mbB said Tuesday that it is representing a group of investors attempting to force the appointment of their own auditor, who is not part of a big accounting firm. The group needs support from 5% of shareholders for an emergency meeting to pass a resolution on the special audit.
