Total, Insurer Sue Over Damaged Gasoline Shipment

Law360, London (February 11, 2020, 4:26 PM GMT) -- French energy giant Total and the insurer Allianz have hit an offshore shipping company with a cargo claim in London over damage to a load of thousands of tonnes of oil shipped to Lebanon.

Total Liban SAL, the energy company’s Lebanese arm, and subsidiaries in Singapore and Switzerland have sued Mintaro Navigation Ltd. at the High Court as they seek to recoup their losses on a tanker of petroleum shipped from Greece in October 2018.
