Insurance Broker Dragged Into £2M Fire Claim Dispute

Law360, London (March 18, 2020, 4:24 PM GMT) -- A property company suing insurer Liverpool Victoria for a £2 million ($2.3 million) payout for fire damage to a building has added broker Movo to its claim for allegedly failing to exercise reasonable care and skill when arranging the policy.

Centaur Property Group Ltd. added Movo Insurance Brokers Ltd. to its claim against Liverpool Victoria for not paying out for at least £2 million after a fire broke at one of its commercial properties in December 2017, according to a March 12 filing.
