Court Rejects BSG Exec's 'All Bad' Bid Not To Testify For Vale

Law360 (July 30, 2020, 5:19 PM EDT) -- A director with Israeli billionaire Beny Steinmetz's BSG Resources Ltd. will have to testify in court as Brazilian mining company Vale seeks to enforce a $2.2 billion arbitral award in London, stemming from a botched Guinean iron ore mining project. 

Master Richard Davison on Thursday handed down a strongly-worded judgment rejecting BSG director Dag Lars Cramer's bid to set aside or amend a February order to testify in the case, as well as turn over relevant documents, calling Cramer's conditions for compliance "hopelessly unrealistic" and his arguments "all bad."
