Law Firms Targeted By Cybercriminals, Legal Body Warns

Law360, London (September 3, 2020, 1:14 PM BST) -- The legal services regulator has called on lawyers to remain vigilant about cybercrime in a climate of home working, as a study shows that criminals stole more than £4 million ($5.3 million) from law firms in England and Wales in three years.

Millions more people are working from home rather than the office because of the COVID-19 crisis, and the need for lawyers and clients to remain vigilant "has never been higher," Paul Philip, chief executive of the Solicitors Regulation Authority, said.
