Law360, London (November 3, 2020, 6:09 PM GMT) -- A Lancashire council leader swept up in a fraud probe by British authorities has sued the Crown Prosecution Service for allegedly revealing to other politicians and a journalist that investors were weighing criminal charges against him.
Geoffrey Driver accused the agency of violating his right to privacy after a CPS employee allegedly sent out an email to members of the public that he had been referred to prosecutors for potential charges, according to the newly public Sept. 29 suit.
