Status Conference
Minutes of proceedings [non-document] before Judge Benita Y. Pearson. Telephonic Status Conference conducted on 9/2/2026. Present were Attorney Christopher P. Wido as counsel for Plaintiff; Attorney Richard L. Hilbrich as counsel for Defendant; and Plaintiff Jason Sanders. The Court and parties discussed the pending Motion to Withdraw as Counsel (ECF No. 6 ) filed by Plaintiff's counsel. The Court informed the parties that it will schedule a Case Management Conference ("CMC") and that, in preparation for the CMC, the parties are to confer and file with the Court a Rule 26(f) Report of Parties' Planning Meeting 5 days before the scheduled CMC. Additionally, with or in advance of filing the Report of Parties' Planning Meeting, the parties shall provide notice of whether Plaintiff's counsel intends to withdraw the Motion to Withdraw as Counsel (ECF No. 6 ); whether Plaintiff has retained replacement counsel; whether Plaintiff (who is an attorney) will proceed pro se; or if Plaintiff would seek to dismiss his case. Before the CMC, Plaintiff must submit a settlement demand to Defendant, and Defendant must respond reasonably. (Court Reporter: None); Time: 19 Minutes. (JLG)
