Law360 (December 17, 2018, 6:30 PM EST) -- U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May said Monday she will ask Parliament to vote on her Brexit plan early next month, just days after European negotiators said they won't rework the withdrawal agreement amid widespread opposition from British lawmakers.
Addressing lawmakers in the House of Commons on Monday, May said Parliament would begin debating the deal by the week of Jan. 7, with an eye toward voting the following week.
That would postpone the vote on Britain's withdrawal agreement from the European Union by more than a month after it was originally scheduled and give the government just 10 weeks to transition...
