Ex-SFO Lawyer Denies Swearing At FBI Agent In Pub Row

Law360, London (October 1, 2020, 6:35 PM BST) -- A former senior Serious Fraud Office prosecutor has denied swearing at an FBI agent in a foul-mouthed rant at a London pub, telling his employment tribunal on Thursday that evidence from U.S. Department of Justice officials who witnessed the incident is "inconsistent," "unreliable" and "embellished."

Testifying at his unfair dismissal lawsuit against the SFO, former case controller Tom Martin said his employer had given "undue weight" to evidence provided two years after the incident by DOJ witnesses, claiming the U.S. agency was "out for me."
