'Crazy Expensive' Law Firm Wouldn't Return Calls, Jury Told
Law360, Los Angeles (May 17, 2019, 10:12 PM EDT) -- The wife of a former U.K. attorney who hired Edwards Wildman Palmer LLP to pursue a failed privacy suit against the Daily Mail tabloid told a California jury Friday that the firm did little work, billed "crazy expensive" invoices and failed to return phone calls.
Saeedeh Mirshahi, herself a solicitor in England, testified that she first met with then-Edwards Wildman attorney Dominique Shelton in March 2012 on behalf of her husband, Shahrokh Mireskandari, who was extremely ill at the time. Shelton initially seemed empathetic and responsive to their case, Mirshahi said.
