UK Tribunal Won't Nix Doc Bid In Engine Fire Fight

Law360 (March 19, 2021, 10:47 PM EDT) -- A London tribunal weighing a $12.8 million arbitration over an engine fire has denied a bid by Rolls Royce to shut down U.S. proceedings where aerospace parts maker Servotronics is trying to track down evidence for the proceeding, saying it's up to the U.S. judiciary to decide the matter.

The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators tribunal ruled on March 9 that the petition filed by Servotronics in Illinois seeking evidence from Boeing — which has been appealed all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court — was "not oppressive or vexatious or unconscionable," and that Servotronics had not interfered with the arbitration, according...
