Allianz CEO Bucks Typical Asset Management Hold Timeline

Law360, Miami (April 2, 2019, 6:41 PM EDT) -- Asset management firms typically hold properties 10 to 15 years before selling, but Allianz Capital Partners has a longer hold timeline in mind as it looks to invest in assets that it can easily reposition or upgrade to keep pace with changing technology, CEO Jürgen Gerke said.

At Tuesday's International Economic Forum of the Americas World Strategic Forum conference in Coral Gables, Florida, Gerke said that in contrast to the industry average, Allianz Capital holds its properties for an average of 45 years.
