SEC, CFTC Join Global Financial Innovation Network

Law360 (October 24, 2019, 6:50 PM EDT) -- Four U.S. financial regulators and two state agencies announced Thursday they are among 12 new members of a year-old cross-border regulatory testing ground for companies experimenting with new financial projects.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, along with the office of Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich and the New York State Department of Financial Services, will soon be part of the Global Financial Innovation Network, an initiative that aims to be both a pipeline for efficient and compliant financial technology and a forum...
