June Trial Set For UK Convict Over Alleged Bar Works Fraud

Law360, New York (January 28, 2019, 10:11 PM EST) -- A Manhattan federal judge on Monday set a June trial date for a U.K. national, who is already in prison in Florida over a condominium fraud, for allegedly aiding a multimillion-dollar scheme that defrauded investors in shared workplace startup Bar Works Inc.

British businessman James Moore, of Miami Beach, is accused of working with fellow U.K. national Renwick Haddow to conceal the latter's control of the shared-workspace startup, which plaintiffs in private litigation in Manhattan federal court claim was a $17 million Ponzi scheme.
